Sit and Sip

The month of May is the craziest time at school.  Field trips, reward events, field days, awards assemblies are just a few of the activities that fill the next few weeks.  But I did manage to grab some time to get another project done.

I found this awesome old metal industrial stool and decided to put a label on it.  I've done numbers before.  You can see them here.
So this time I thought I'd try something different.

I found this awesome tea label from Karen at the Graphics Fairy and decided it would be perfect. I used my Silhouette Cameo to trim away the border and enlarge the print.  Then I transferred the image with carbon paper.

Since the font was small and the design was going on metal, I decided to use permanent marker to finish the design.

What a perfect place to sit for a cup of tea!

That image works perfect with the look of that stool, Cyndi! You might think it came from an old tea shop!

I love it. I'm just starting to try the transfer thing with Graphics Fairy - I've done a few projects, didn't like how the transfer worked with freezer paper and sanded and repainted. Going to try it again without circular motions when flattening the design onto the furniture. It came out a little smudgy last time, so hopefully this will help.
