Nothing like Family

I've enjoyed spending the past week with my daughter and her new son.  What precious days these have been!

Jay was born a week ago.  We announced his birth here.  Now that my daughter and her husband have started their own family, they wanted a family rules sign.  So I had time this week to put one together for them.

I started with a pine board that I got at Lowe's.  I think this one measures 16x36 but they come in different sizes. I gave it a coat of Ce Ce Caldwell's Antique White.

My daughter gave me a list of the rules and I used my Silhouette Cameo to put them together in different fonts. I cut out the letters and stuck them to the board, then spray painted over all of it with black spray paint.  (note to self: put a spray paint trigger in my son-in-law's Christmas stocking).

Then the fun began as I pulled the letter stickers off to reveal the rules.  I gave it a coat of wax and it's ready to hang in their living room.

Now if they can just get him to obey the "no fussing" part!

Great job! You made that look so easy! But I know how tricky those little vinyl letters can be-especially on a sign that size! So CONGRATS on being patient! But most of all CONGRATS on that grandbaby :)
