I got a great little table at an estate sale recently. It was already painted turquoise! Score! But the top had water damage and the veneer was buckling. So we stripped off the top layer and I painted the top white.
I used my Silhouette to cut a houndstooth stencil.
My original plan was to paint the houndstooth black and white but I decided to go for a softer look and used Paris Gray.
I just love pulling the stencil off to reveal the pattern!
Perfect!
Two coats of clear wax later it was ready to show off.
I think the gray was the perfect color choice!
She's gone to the shop this week.
Such a pretty pattern, don't you think?

What is the color of the rest of the table? I have a little table in the garden that needs a makeover and I have been thinking about that shade.
Your houndstooth turned out great.
Houndstooth is awesome! I love how you do the contrast so the turquoise base with b&w (or grey) top pattern.
