I found this dresser on Craig's List a few weeks ago. Loved that it was already white. Loved that all the hardware was there. I didn't have to do much to it.
I gave it one quick coat of Old White just to freshen the paint.
But the carved detailing was crying out, begging for some attention.
I wanted to use some turquoise but thought Provence would be too dark. So I whipped up a custom mix of Provence and Old White. Not sure of the recipe, but I'd guess 3 parts Provence + 1 part Old White.
I used a craft brush to apply the paint in the crevices.
One of the great things about chalk paint is that if you make a mistake, it washes off easily. So I didn't worry too much about coloring in the lines.
Isn't this the perfect touch of aqua?
