Quick Gate-leg Table Update

With the baby coming and furniture flying out of the shop, I needed to get some things ready quick so I had something ready in a pinch.

I found this awesome table at a flea market.  It was already painted white so I didn't have to start from scratch!

It's called a gate-leg table because two of the legs swing like a gate to support the drop leaf.

Only problem is, it was kinda boring.  I guess I'm just a sucker for a pretty color!

So I pulled out my favorite ASCP Provence and gave it two coats.  The legs were naturally distressed so I distressed the top to keep it in context.
Two coats of wax and it's now waiting in the wings.

Looks great. I have a gate-legged table that my dad made for me. And my brother just picked up an antique one for me. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
