Vintage Chalkboard Window

This week has been chalkboard week at my house.  Tonight I'm rolling out the second one.

I have a sweet friend that hooked me up with some awesome window frames.

(The frame in the center was recently remade into a chalkboard.  You can see it here.)

Anyway, it's not everyday that I run across arched window frames. This one was begging for a chalkboard.

So I started by painting it Provence.

I had the hubster cut a board to fit and I painted it with chalkboard paint.

It was only fitting that I put some kind of quote on it before taking it into the shop.   So I tried this one.

Love the quote, but I'd say the lettering was a failure!
That's the beauty of a chalkboard - erase and try again.

I found inspiration from this piece of chalkboard art, so I sat in the floor and whipped this out.

Ok, I'm in love now!

I'm thinking this one may stay at the house a while!
It's only appropriate that it displays with the adorable trike that I bought this weekend.  My grandsons are going to love that!

That is just gorgeous Cyndi!!!
I have an arched wood frame from an old hutch that I may try this on - ( it's warped and will not go back on the hutch properly so I just have it leaning on a mirror - but this would be perfect )
Beautiful Job!

Love that arched top, Cyndi! You find such great frames for these projects. I was even thinking what a great sign it would make. You know, for someone who has a booth. ; ) Your chalk lettering is much better than mine. I just rewrote on mine when I moved it into my kitchen. If I decide to make a permanent text, I might just get stencils and paint it.
