Chalkboard for a Prince

I've been on quite an adventure this week.  My daughter went into labor Friday night and I helped coach her through labor until she delivered her son Saturday morning.  What a blessing!  He is gorgeous and mom, dad, and baby are doing great!

Needless to say, I haven't had the opportunity to work on any new pieces this week.  I did, however, do a small make-over at my daughter's house.

She's had this chalkboard that she's put the latest info on the size of the baby each week and posted it on her Facebook page.  This was last week's photo.

Now that Jay's arrived, she wanted to change the chalkboard to announce his arrival.  She liked what I'd done with this chalkboard, so I offered to draw a design for her.  I found an awesome one at Custom Art by CJ Hughes.

I think she's going to take a picture of the two of them in front of the board tomorrow.  It should be really cute.

Of course, he's pretty stinkin' cute all by himself!

And he's ready for the All-Star Game!
Go Rangers!

Congratulations, Cyndi! What a cute idea that chalkboard update is. Love your birth announcement, too. It must have been something to be there for your grandchild's birth. I was going to be with my daughter {two years ago now} but she had to have an emergency C-section. I had to sit in the waiting room, but was thrilled to be able to see my granddaughter when they were bringing her to the nursery. The one and only other person besides her parents!

Your daughter has such a lovely big smile to be so near the end of her pregnancy. I know I was not smiling like that by then. Congraulations on such a wonderful little boy bundle. I am a Nana to 2 grandsons after having 3 daughters. I had a lot to learn about boys.
