Turquoise is in my blood!

It's cold here today.
It's starting to snow with a forecast of sleet and rain tonight.  
So much for getting any painting done outside.

So, I thought I'd show you a piece I did last summer. 
I got this piece at an auction.  
It's not old, but had great bones.  I tried to sell it in the shop as-is but it just sat there.  It's a crummy picture,
but you get the idea... blaah!


So I used a spray primer and painted it in a turquoise latex paint.


I distressed it a bit and painted the hardware black.


That's so much better!
Happy desk, happy vendor, happy customer!
It sold within a week!

I'm not surprised, Cyndi, it looks like it was made for that color! Good for you for taking the steps to make sure it did sell. I know some would just have let it sat not understanding why it wasn't moving.
